You'll need to provide:

• Your NIC (National Identification Card)
• Billing proof, if required

You'll also need to provide other supporting documents.

If you're a salaried applicant, you'll need:

• A pay slip or letter from your employer with an authorised signature
• Bank statements or proof of variable income from over the last 3 months (Optional)

If you're a self-employed applicant, you'll need a business registration certificate with an authorised signature.

If you're an academic degree holder, you'll need either one of the following:

• A copy of your degree certificate
• A copy of your student transcript
• A letter from the university with an authorised signature

If you're applying for a primary credit card, we'll generally need 4 working days. For supplementary credit cards, please allow us 3 working days.

For security reasons, you'll need to activate your new credit card before you can use it. To do so, please call us on (94) 11 4 472 242.

Next, follow these steps:

1. Select your language.
2. Press *.
3. Press 3.
4. Enter your credit card number – this is the 16 digits on your card.
5. Answer your verification questions to activate your card.

You can repay your credit card bill in a few ways.

• Via the HSBC Mobile Banking app
• Via HSBC Online Banking
• Via your mobile wallet
• Via CEFTS (Common Electronic Fund Transfer Switch) from your other bank accounts

You can raise a dispute. Simply submit a card dispute declaration form, then attach any supporting documents you think we may need.
